i have decided to secretly write trashy romance novels. i am tired of being poor and according to a recent program on npr, the romance genre is the easiest to break into.

i will write under a secret pen name, which will not be revealed here. my novels will be about headstrong feminists who rope in their men and enslave them with their beauty. it may not be danielle steel or nora roberts, but it will be steamy and sexy and woman-centric and empowering. and fun. and maybe kind of satirical. except the kinds of women who read romance novels probably wouldn't get the satire and would put my humble paperback up on the shelf, only to pulled out on lonely nights and flipped through until the words "throbbing member" caught their eye.

this is going to be literary prostitution. literally.
